Pretty good AYCE sushi. Sometimes when they get so busy and idk if they’re short staffed but they can take a little bit long to bring you some items that you ordered.

This is my go to place for AYCE sushi in Barrie and that includes when it used to be called Aji-Sai back in the day. The food is great and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The selection is wide, and I personally recommend going for the dinner menu as the sashimi is excellent. Our family favourites include the various kinds of sashimi, the torched sushi pieces, the fried chicken (karaage), and the squid.

The food here is consistently great — especially impressive for an AYCE restaurant. The quality and freshness really stand out, and even when certain items are missing, the staff are usually quick to prepare them upon request. My only disappointment is around how dietary restrictions are handled. They don’t seem very accommodating, and the staff can come across as skeptical or questioning when you mention specific dietary needs. It would make the experience much more comfortable if they approached such requests with a bit more understanding and care.

Kino Sushi has quickly become one of my favorite places to unwind and enjoy my ultimate comfort food. It’s my go-to spot in Barrie when I’m craving something fresh, satisfying, and delicious. I always go for the dinner option, and without fail, I fall in love all over again with their salmon dishes—especially the sashimi and the spicy salmon roll. Everything tastes so fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor! I’ve tried many sushi spots not just in Barrie but also in other countries, and Kino is truly top-notch. The consistency and quality keep me coming back once or twice a month since I moved here. Also, I have to mention one standout staff member—a lovely lady who’s always friendly, accommodating, and full of energy. I wish I had caught her name! Her warm and attentive service really elevates the dining experience, especially compared to some of the other staff who can seem a bit grumpy (maybe just busy—but hey, a smile goes a long way!). All in all, Kino Sushi is a gem. Great food, cozy vibe, and that one amazing staff member who always makes my visit extra enjoyable. Highly recommend!
